About Lieutenant Colonel Allison Black
Lieutenant Colonel Allison Black works for the Commanding General of USSOCOM as the deputy director of the Commanders Action Group. Lieutenant Colonel Allison Black enlisted in the Air Force in 1992 and served as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) Specialist until 1998. She completed Officer Training School in 1998, followed by Joint Specialized Undergraduate Navigator training earning her Navigator wings in January 2000. Lieutenant Colonel Black has flown over 3500 hours in the AC-130H Spectre gunship and the U-28A with over 2000 hours in combat. She has worked at the squadron, group, wing, HQ AFSOC and HQ USAF levels as a Chief of plans, Executive officer, Evaluator navigator, Director of Operations and Squadron Commander. She was the first female AC-130H Spectre navigator to open fire in combat operations and the first female Air Force Combat Action Medal recipient.
